Buy Atari with Crowdfunding?

Did you know there was a movement to purchase the Atari brand using crowdfunding.  The makers of the GCW Zero, a handheld console built around the Ingenic JZ4770 1 GHz MIPS processor and running open source games, after a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the console itself, tried the Reset Atari fundable campaign to purchase trademarks and licensing of classic Atari games, if not making an outright bid for the company itself.  Unfortunately, that didn't work out and the movement is moving in another direction, whatever that means.

Still, with Atari in bankruptcy, the thought of buying it outright with a crowdfunding campaign is interesting to say the least...
