Color Wars Even More Extreme

So, I thought my Color Wars program could be sped up with some parallel processing.  GFA BASIC 32, created when multitasking in home computers was still a new idea, can create concurrent program threads, but it isn't well documented.  I tried about four different ways to get the program threads to talk to each other without crashing my computer.  Seriously, I've rebooted more in the last couple of days than I have in the last year.  I finally figured it out, and I can create these images in half the time.  I can't parallelize more because most of the color value of a pixel depends on the lot of factors which involve neighboring pixels.  I need to come up with a graphics generation routine where pixels are calculated independently.  How do you create a Mandelbrot?
