Welcome to a new technical series devoted to explaining how to do things in the Feed The Beast MindCrack mod pack for Minecraft. In each episode, I'll try to focus on a different mod, machine, or task and give you the information you need to do these things on your own. I am not an expert by any means, and you'll likely be directed to the nearest wiki if you ask any detailed questions. GregTech adds some added complexity to FTB by making many recipes more expensive or requiring the use of special machines or techniques. But GregTech also adds some new machines. A recent upgraded added "automatic" versions of the macerator, electric furnace, extractor, compressor, recycler, canning machine, and wiremill. The automatic part means that they can pass processed items on to a chest or another machine automatically without having to use pipes or tubes. They can also pass power along to other machines without having to run more wires. However, these machines are still in development and might not be ready for prime time.
