FTB 39 - Improved Self-Emptying Ender Chest [Feed The Beast MindCrack]

Welcome to a new technical series devoted to explaining how to do things in the Feed The Beast MindCrack mod pack for Minecraft.  In each episode, I'll try to focus on a different mod, machine, or task and give you the information you need to do these things on your own.  I am not an expert by any means, and you'll likely be directed to the nearest wiki if you ask any detailed questions.

With multiple turtles or quarries going at the same time, I realized that my self-emptying Ender chest couldn't quite keep up.  Autarchic gates are basically redstone engines, and those don't put out a lot of power.  After experimenting with more powerful engines, I realized that I could get better results just by putting 4 or even 6 autarchic gates on an Ender chest.  Yes, it's a lot of work, but it's self-contained and self-powered.  If you really wanted to get crazy, you could have multiple Ender chests with the same color code being emptied this way.

Minecraft is a sandbox construction game where you can build anything you can imagine. It also has scary monsters, like creepers who tend to want to destroy what you have built. The game is available at http://www.Minecraft.net

In early 2011, TechDolphin started a survival multiplayer server so he could play with his friends. Since then, we've invited a few of my younger viewers whose parents might otherwise not let them play online with random strangers to join us. We are NOT currently accepting new players. Please, don't ask.
