I decided to try my hand at the GiantRavine Challenge. In this challenge, we start a new 1.8 world with the seed GiantRavine, which spawns us in the middle of a vast ocean on a small island with no food, no supplies, and only a single tree. Oh, and we spawn on top of the biggest ravine found so far in Minecraft. The challenge is to survive.

This seed only works with 1.8 or 1.8.1, so if you want to play the challenge yourself, you'd better start before 1.9 comes out!
